Welcome to Camp Merricks

Farm Fun for Your Dog.

When your dog stays with us at Camp they get all the fun of being on the farm. As long as it's not raining, days are spent rolling in the grass, digging in the dirt, and playing with Camp mates.  At Camp, dogs are free to be dogs!

Enrichment Activities

Camp Merricks is a vacation spot for your dog. City dogs can enjoy a few days or weeks of country life. There are things to climb on, friends to chase, room to run, places to dig and in warm weather water to play in.

Boarding

Bring Your Own Bed

Bring your dog's own bed. Each dog is assigned a size appropriate crate to allow them to use their beds. Freedom of movement is part of the Camp experience. We only crate overnight after "nighttime snacks".

Bring your dog's food from home so there are no tummy troubles over a sudden change of diet and environment.

Please do not bring your dog's favorite toy. We have toys for them to play with here.

Behavior Assessment & Socialization

Helping you understand your dog.

Understanding your dog's behavior and reactions to stimuli, as well as your role in that behavior are essential to understanding what type of training will help the most. I observe your dog in their own environment.

Improving your relationship with your dog is often linked to better communication. I can help you understand how to better communicate with your dog so you get the results you want and your dog gets clear boundaries and expectations.

Many issues with dogs are the result of not enough exercise or not enough social time with other canines.  We provide a safe space for dogs to run and work with each other, communicating, correcting, and learning appropriate canine etiquette.
